Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect as little as possible, we don't run ads or third-party analytics/trackers, and we never sell your data. What we do store is only what's needed to make the services work.

What we collect

opv.ooo (this site): nothing on the server. The 🍪 counter and your theme choice live in your browser's local storage only.

BlockLookup (mc.opv.ooo):

• If you sign in with Discord: your Discord ID, username, and avatar hash, so the site and bot can recognise you.
• Public Minecraft data we index (usernames, UUIDs, skins, capes, name history) from public sources. This is public information, not private data about you.
• Anything you choose to add to a claimed profile: a bio, social links, and comments you post (stored with your Discord display name).
• Short-lived one-time codes generated when you use the verification server.

Steam Linux Check (steam.opv.ooo): the SteamID you enter and your public Steam library (game list) fetched from Steam. There's no account and no sign-in; we cache game-to-Linux compatibility (which is public, not personal) to stay fast.

Third parties

To provide the services we send requests to, or load data from: Discord (sign-in), Mojang, crafty.gg and Crafatar (Minecraft data/renders), Steam (your library), ProtonDB (compatibility), and Cloudflare (hosting/CDN). Their own privacy policies apply.

Cookies & local storage

• A secure session cookie when you sign in to BlockLookup, and an admin cookie for the admin panel. These are essential, not tracking.
• Local storage in your browser for preferences (theme/accent, the cookie counter). This never leaves your device.
• No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Keeping & deleting your data

You can sign out any time, and unlink a claimed Minecraft account from your account page — unlinking also removes that profile's bio, socials, and comments. Verify codes expire within minutes. Cached data is pruned over time. To have data removed, get in touch and we'll sort it.

Children

The services aren't directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). Don't use them if you're under that age.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change when we do.
